Somehow words did not have to have meanings after President Bill Clinton lied to a nation about having sex with Monica Lewinsky. Honor was tossed out like yesterday's salad. Ever since then, politicians seem to have started playing word games. Partial truths and out right lies are okay as long as the outcome is met.
Instant media can cloud the integrity of anyone as after delivered globally to an unseen audience, it is hard to refute. Words have power. That is why truth is so important for justice to prevail. When words are misused it throws the whole universe off. When we respond to words as spoken and understood, and they are not true, we follow a path that is not real. But, our response becomes "real". Can respect for true words be restored? Or is it like the genie in a bottle, once let out, it never can be put back.
Random rantings from a common sense approach to social issues. Still clinging to my guns and my religion, I am trying to understand the universal laws of a civilized society. As a descendant of five generations of Texans, I have a strong legacy bred into me of individual freedom and independent living.
About Me
- Cinco Texan
- Descendant of patriots who have fought from the Civil war to WWII, planters who carved out my heritage in the plains of central Texas since 1850. From teacher to business owner, I have a strong personal heritage and concern for the United States, its past and future.

SEIU Takes American Backward,Bullies Win by Intimidation
Reading about the 14 school buses who unloaded SEIU protesters in a family neighborhood to attack a Bank of America executive at his home reminded me of the old westerns I use to watch as a kid. The guy in the black hat bullied the townspeople so that he had absolute power over the town. He had the guns and the thugs to back him up. The townspeople just wanted peace, and didn't know anything about using guns for power. They just wanted to run their business, raise their families, and worship their God.
But in my movies, the good guy in the white hat, would come along and outsmart the bad guy. He would become the hero after seeing that justice was done.
With SEIU's history, this type of political intimidation should already have "bit the dust". President Obama, if he had any character at all, should have led the charge denouncing this groups' tactics against an individual citizen. He certainly was there to put down the Tea Parties who respectfully protested peacefully in public areas.
The thugs that are showing up under Obama's watch are unacceptable in America. Americans discuss, debate, protest peaceably, vote...That is the American way.
When you start manipulating media, tolerating scripted intimidation, and ignoring laws, and encouraging people to depend on the government to solve all problems, you will create chaos. How does the person in power handle chaos?
Enter Obama's advisers who are self professed Communist, Socialist, Maoist, Stalinist, revolutionist. I don't think Obama wants to be the President of the United States of America as it has been. He wants his own country. And to get that, he has to "step on a few toes", mainly our Constitution and Founding Fathers wisdom, and those who won't go along just need a little more of a "push, or shove" in the direction that he wants to go. He doesn't believe in this country...only the country he can "change" it to. That is his "hope".
The people Obama surrounds himself with have not come up with any new ideas. All of the above have been tried over and over throughout history. And failed.
So Obama and cronies portray themselves as the "White hat guys" but use "Black hat guys" tactics.
As Americans, we must be smarter that that.

Obama says American has Muslim Roots...Really?
Not only Americans, but my ancestors, as well as many other Texans' ancestors, pushed on into Texas with nothing more than faith in Jesus Christ and God our Creator. He sustained them through droughts, famines, attacks by Indians and other predators, over saw their labors in making this land their home. He sustained them through disease, death, despair. He taught them the value of the individual and hard work. He embraced all cultures and peoples as long as they came in peace.
It was not Mohamed or the Muslims. Muslims believe in empire building...we only want more Muslims. The rest are infidels, and we need to convert them, or get rid of them. The love and tolerance of all may end up being the downfall of Christians. Those who want 'justice for all" and advocate tolerance are not Muslim.
Barack OBAMA, during his Cairo speech, said: "I know, too, that Islam has always been a part of
America 's story." If true, I don't think the part Muslims played was in anyway responsible of the principles that have made this country great.
AN AMERICAN CITIZEN'S RESPONSE TO OBAMA'S STATEMENT:
Dear Mr. Obama:
Were those Muslims that were in America when the Pilgrims first landed? Funny, I thought they were Native American Indians.
Were those Muslims that celebrated the first Thanksgiving day? Sorry again, those were Pilgrims and Native American Indians.
Can you show me one Muslim signature on the United States Constitution?
Declaration of Independence ?
Bill of Rights?
Didn't think so.
Did Muslims fight for this country's freedom from England ? No.
Did Muslims fight during the Civil War to free the slaves in America ? No, they did not. In fact, Muslims to this day are still the largest traffickers in human slavery. Your own half brother, a devout Muslim, still advocates slavery himself, even though Muslims of Arabic descent refer to black Muslims as "pug nosed slaves." Says a lot of what the Muslim world really thinks of your family's "rich Islamic heritage," doesn't it Mr. Obama?
Where were Muslims during the Civil Rights era of this country? Not present.
There are no pictures or media accounts of Muslims walking side by side with Martin Luther King, Jr. or helping to advance the cause of Civil Rights.
Where were Muslims during this country's Woman's Suffrage era? Again, not present. In fact, devout Muslims demand that women are subservient to men in the Islamic culture. So much so, that often they are beaten for not wearing the 'hajib' or for talking to a man who is not a direct family member or their husband. Yep, the Muslims are all for women's rights, aren't they?
Where were Muslims during World War II? They were aligned with Adolf Hitler. The Muslim grand mufti himself met with Adolf Hitler, reviewed the troops and accepted support from the Nazi's in killing Jews.
Finally, Mr. Obama, where were Muslims on Sept. 11th, 2001? If they weren't flying planes into the World Trade Center , the Pentagon or a field in Pennsylvania killing nearly 3,000 people on our own soil, they were rejoicing in the Middle East . No one can dispute the pictures shown from all parts of the Muslim world celebrating on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and other cable news networks that day. Strangely, the very "moderate" Muslims you bent over backwards to impress in Cairo, Egypt on June 4th were stone cold silent post 9-11. To many Americans, their silence has meant approval for the acts of that day.
Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot to mention the Barbary Pirates. They were Muslim.
And now we can add November 5, 2009 - the slaughter of American soldiers at Fort Hood by a Muslim major who is a doctor and a psychiatrist who was supposed to be counseling soldiers returning from battle in Iraq and Afghanistan .
That, Mr. Obama is the "Muslim heritage" in America .
(Copied from Email I received....But very good points. Not sure who wrote it)
President Obama's misstaken understanding of American history weakens this wonderful country and is disrespectful to the brave men and women who spawn the culture that allowed him to come from nothing and become the president of this great nation. The test of a really great leader is in best shown in his gratitude and humility. A great leader is one is open to all views, and prays for wisdom before he speaks and leads. These are universal traits...not limited to Democrats or Republicans. The words of leaders have meanings...they are not empty rhetoric that can be changed, or mishandled. Neither can history.
May God has mercy on all of us. May His Will and Wisdom prevail.

Wish Texas Was What Its Image Suggest!
The 3rd grader who was given detention for 5 days for having a Jolly Rancher piece of candy in a Brazos County elementary school in Texas illustrates how far our progressive policies of the Federal government and the NEA union have affected even one of the most conservative of this nation,Texas.
Most see Texas still as an outpost, a frontier, full of strong willed independant individuals who "don't need any help from outsiders." Unfortunately, we have a corporatist for a govenor whose loyalty is to big money instead of the people and heritage of Texas. He is a master, as was GWB, at playing the political game. And I fear, is being groomed by the Republican party as a Presidential candidate. This would be more of the same.
With that said, Texas has a corrupt public school system that only makes decisions by how much money they can get from the government. Superintendents are groomed to reward teachers on how well they carry out guidelines which have nothing to do with teaching children. Local school boards are sent to convenions and taught how to "deal" with disgruntled parents. The local boards are nothing but figureheads who rubberstamp superintendents policies which are dictated to the superintendent by the national policies promoted through national control of money. And so, there is no difference in a public school in Washinton, DC or Love Lady, Texas.
What is interesting is that some school employees begin thinking that the more I go along with Union and Federal and state laws and guidelines, the better teacher I am. And I am such a good teacher, I don't even have to be accountable to parents or the local community. I am fighting for social justice, saving the planet, multi-culturalism, self-esteem,etc. Everythng except teaching students basic knowledge...math,science,spelling,reading, and so on.
So we come to the point of absurdity, even in the great state of Texas. Action taken merely because a policy allows it. People(insert educators) do not have to use judgement or common sense, because they have a policy. "I can't be wrong, I followed policy." These educators are intimidated, they are afraid they will lose their jobs if policy is not carried out correctly.
With this type of mentality, we will lose this country. America was designed for common sense and thinking individuals who have the right to question policy. Texas is held up as an example to the world of this. As with any hero, the reality is always somewhat disappointing.

Tea Party Groups struggle with purity, other agendas, human frailty
This letter is from a member of the Tea Party organization I started out with on April 15, 2009. It was started by a woman from a communist country who was able to become a legal American citizen. Through her experience, she sees the path of American going down the same road that had taken her homeland away from her.
I have watched this organization disintegrate due to "egos". They had no higher calling....just a calling to get a little power and press. Until we all show humility and gratitude for the blessings we have from our Creator, and commit to his principals.....which by the way have evolved from societies committing the same atrocities for thousands of years, we will never have peace. Whether you are Bible believing or not, the wisdom from that book speaks to every human frailty and what happens when people don't exercise self-discipline or humility. These are universal truths not only reflected in the Christian heritage, but others as well. The founders of this country took those histories, and through the inspiration and study of many civilizations and philosophies, designed a government based on a plan to avoid the path of so many failed civilizations. This was probably the first time that men could study and plan a country with so many protections for the individual. Those who say the Constitution and principles of the US are outdated, are not students of history or philosophy, and show their limited mindset of instant gratification......not what is needed for the future of our children. It greatly saddens me that even those with the best of intentions stumble while trying to stand up to faux Americans.
My fellow Patriots,
In Ester 4:14, we are told how the Jewess Ester, who miraculously had been elevated to Queen of Persia, was challenged by her cousin to risk her life for her people with the following words: “For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Our history tells us that our founders in effect saw themselves as Esters; they appreciated that God had placed them in America “for such a time as this”. They understood their primary responsibility as human beings was to glorify God and they believed God placed them in America at that particular time to build a nation based on Biblical principles, on our God given “unalienable rights”. To establish a government that would guarantee freedom for them and their posterity to worship and glorify God to the maximum extent.
To this noble effort, our founders pledged their “Lives,…Fortunes and … sacred Honor.” They exercised remarkable discipline in keeping their focus on the objective, finding ways (which undoubtedly were often most painful and difficult) to accommodate their differences in the interest of their higher goal. In their success, our founders specifically and repeatedly acknowledged that their achievement was due solely to the Divine hand of Providence. It takes little time to find a plethora of quotes from virtually every founder giving the glory to God for the great things He had done.
Our founders provide the role model for the Tea Party movement. We are seeking the same objectives as our founders; except that rather than establish such a government we seek to restore it. We must recognize that we too are Esters; that we also have been placed where we are “for such a time as this”. If we are to succeed, we, like our founders, must absolutely believe and trust that God will honor our efforts and that only God can bring us success. We must place God, not ourselves, at the center and as the foundation of our movement.
But we have an additional burden that our founders did not face, for our nation has wandered far from God’s grace. Our culture is corrupt, we murder the most innocent, are selfishly focused on our own prosperity instead of our posterity and many deny God’s supremacy. This is a totally different state of affairs than that existed at the time of the Revolution; a situation that requires us not only to be Esters but to plead for God’s forgiveness. We must, as stated in 2 Chronicles 7:14 humble ourselves, and pray, and seek God’s face, and turn from our wicked ways; for only then will God hear from heaven, and will forgive our sin, and will heal our land. We need God more now that possibly any other time in our nation’s history.
The governance crisis at the NHTPP is an indication that our Tea Party, to a certain extent, lost its way. We are failing the trust God has placed in our hands “for such a time as this” by allowing our personal differences to dictate our actions rather that keeping the higher goal as our objective and trusting God’s providential leadership. And, to the extent we continue down this path, we will surely fail.
If any one of us was perfect, we would not need a Savior. We cannot expect perfect leadership or perfect wisdom. But we need to learn to be eternally grateful for the imperfect individuals God raises up among us who have the talent and willingness to sacrifice huge amounts of time, energy and resources for our cause; a cause I trust we all believe is in keeping with God’s will. We need to work on patience, forgiveness and humility. And we need to seek God’s guidance to find ways of using our differences to strengthen our movement, by finding ways of working together in spite of our personal differences.
I personally don’t care what the details are that led to the governance crisis being faced by the NHTPP. Unless there is malfeasance, which would have to be dealt with, these details serve no value other than stirring up animosity. It takes two to quarrel, and both sides undoubtedly have what they consider legitimate arguments to support their positions. Mistakes have certainly been made; things said that one might wish could be retracted. But this happens in all human endeavors and leaders need to be able to rise above these differences in the interest of the greater goal. Leaders need to be able find the way to hold the group together; since we are clearly stronger united than divided. But for this to happen, leaders must in good faith be seeking reconciliation in every situation. Just as in a successful marriage, Boards need to operate under the assumption that reconciliation is the only option; that a solution is always possible.
I attended a meeting today with the NHTPP Board with the objective of achieving reconciliation. I must sadly report that the Board has no interested in even discussing reconciliation. They adamantly believe NHTPP can continue successfully without the leader who started the organization and guided it into one of the most successful Tea Parties in the nation. Did Suzanne do this alone? Certainly not! Did members of the Board contribute to this success? Absolutely; as did many others! It has taken all the resources God has provided for NHTPP to be as successful as it has. And the fact that this Board is unwilling to do everything possible to preserve those resources and avoid the unquestionable weakening of our Tea Party a rupture will cause, leads me to the conclusion that they are not the kind of leaders that emulate the standards established by our founders; standards that we must follow as the model for our movement to be successful. Further, and most importantly, the fact that they were unwilling to focus on prayer as the center of their deliberation at this most trying time was clearly indicative of a different perspective from that of our founders on God’s central role in our effort to reclaim America. The Board’s hearts appear hardened and they are determined to continue down the path they have initiated which separates the leadership of our Tea Party from the corporate entity that controls at least the NHTPP name, money and some of the resources. There appears to be nothing WE THE PEOPLE, who thought this was our Tea Party, can do about it.
Given this situation, I am regretfully disassociating myself immediately from the NHTPP. To the extent it is necessary, I hereby resign as Chaplain. I do not plan any further interaction with NHTPP and will not attend any future NHTPP events. I will not attend the announced meeting this coming Tuesday since, as stated above, I see no merit in hearing one side of a story; perpetuating and exacerbating an increasingly emotional, ugly and unfortunate situation.
I am still committed to the restoration of America to its Constitutional foundations. But I will seek other paths where my contribution will be within the context of the God centered model provided by our founders.
God bless you and God bless America,

I am still committed to the restoration of America to its Constitutional foundations. But I will seek other paths where my contribution will be within the context of the God centered model provided by our founders.
God bless you and God bless America,

William Travis Barret Letter, The Alamo, 1836
Fellow citizens & compatriots------
I am besieged, by a thousand
or more of the Mexicans under
Santa Anna ----- I have sustained
a continual Bombardment &
cannonade for 24 hours & have
not lost a man ----- The enemy
has demanded a Surrender at
discretion, otherwise, the garrison
are to be put to the sword, if
the fort is taken ----- I have answered
the demand with a cannon
shot, & our flag still waves
proudly from the wall ----- I
shall never Surrender or retreat
Then, I can on you in the
name of Liberty, of patriotism &
every thing dear to the American
character, to come to our aid,
with an dispatch ----- The enemy is
receiving reinforcements daily &
will no doubt increase to three or
four thousand in four or five days.
If this can is neglected, I am deter
mined to sustain myself as long as
possible & die like a soldier
who never forgets what is due to
his own honor & that of his
country ----- Victory or Death
